Flashy ⚡

Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 August 2026

This policy explains what Flashy (the “Service”) stores about you, why, and how to get rid of it. Flashy is built to hold as little as possible.

Flashy cannot read your messages. It has no Message Content intent and no access to your server’s conversations. It only ever receives what you deliberately type into one of its slash commands.

What is stored

When you create a reminder, Flashy stores:

If you run /timezone set, Flashy also stores your Discord user ID and the timezone you chose.

That is everything. Flashy does not store your username, avatar, email address, IP address, or any message you did not put into a command. It uses no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising.

Why it is stored

Solely to provide the Service: to deliver your reminders at the right time, to the right place, interpreted in the right timezone, and to let you list and cancel them. Your data is never sold, rented, or shared for marketing.

How long it is kept

Deleting your data

Run /forgetme confirm: True in Discord. This immediately and permanently erases every reminder of yours and your timezone setting. There is no separate request process and no waiting period. Running /forgetme confirm: False first shows you exactly what is held, without deleting anything.

Individual reminders can be removed at any time with /reminders cancel.

Who else is involved

Flashy relies on three providers, and no others:

Hosting providers process data on Flashy’s behalf and may store it outside your country. No data is shared with anyone else.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, database access is restricted to the Service, and every command Discord sends is cryptographically verified before Flashy acts on it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not put sensitive information — passwords, financial details, anything confidential — into a reminder.

Children

Flashy is not directed at anyone below Discord’s own minimum age for their country, and we do not knowingly store data from them.

Changes

As Flashy gains features, this policy will be updated to describe any new data they require. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
